Tony Scott



Is a two, non-consecutive term Chairman of the Hotel Corporation of The Bahamas and was tapped by The Most Hon. Hubert A. Minnis, Prime Minister, to steward the debut of the Tourism Development Corporation.  Chairman Scott has been integrally involved in Tourism matters and also marshalls the sale of the Lucayan Hotel in Grand Bahama.


Deputy Chairman

Deputy Chairman Anthony Ferguson, a businessman and principal of the Nassau Cruise Port lends his considerable business acumen to guiding the fundraising initiatives and innovative programmes. Anthony also has a keen interest in redeveloping our heritage assets and enhancing the tour and experiences offerings.

Janet Johnson

CEO/Executive Director

CEO/Executive Director Janet Johnson is a veteran Tourism executive with over 40 years experience, representing the country abroad in the UK & US and here at home. She is a leader who enjoys working in the trenches and building programmes. She is a creative thinker and is highly motivated, Janet heads the executive team at the TDC.



Secretary/Treasurer Lindsey Cancino, who also serves as a Director of the Hotel Corporation of The Bahamas, lends his expertise as a CPA to oversee the finances of both Corporations and recently spearheaded the transition of the accounts to a digital platform. As a BREA Realtor, he helps guide TDC’s boutique mixed-use resort focus to add new room inventory. A Rotarian, Lindsey gives generously of his time and serves as an integral part of the organization’s leadership. An avid Bond 007 fan, he can rattle off details of every movie in the franchise and cuts a dashing image in a tux!


Independent Director

Director Cleora Farquharson, VP Pension Services at RF Bank and Trust, has a keen interest in Tourism and seeing The Bahamas perform as it ought to, given our years of leadership in the field. She brings innovative thinking vis-a-vis TDC programmes and champions our research that maintains our cutting edge stance.

Robert Myers


A man of action, Robbie Myers is a businessman who gets into the weeds and does his best to bring solutions to national issues. In his quest to bolster Tourism initiatives he continues to be an outstanding resource, sharing best practices from other jurisdictions that he visits in his business travels around the globe. He is the founder of the non-profit, Organization of Responsible Governance (ORG) that promotes Government accountability, responsibility, transparency, integrity and respect.
